The biggest issues that people around the world perceive as impacting their societies in late 2025 are the cost of living and artificial intelligence (AI)—both of which have been of rising concern since Q3 2025. This is according to an ongoing tracker survey by stakeholder intelligence firm Caliber of consumers in the US, UK, Germany, France, China, Japan, and Brazil.
The biggest issues that people around the world perceive as impacting their societies in late 2025 are the cost of living and artificial intelligence (AI)—both of which have been of rising concern since Q3 2025. This is according to an ongoing tracker survey by stakeholder intelligence firm Caliber of consumers in the US, UK, Germany, France, China, Japan, and Brazil.
Knowing which issues matter most in each market lets B2C and B2B companies refine and localize their product portfolios, pricing, messaging, and workforce strategies. Understanding the key social and political issues also helps them consider those in their plans and actions.
Increased cost of living has been the top issue globally since Caliber started tracking topics of greatest impact in 2022. Since Q3, it has become even more so, according to the most recent data from October/November 2025 (Figure 1). China is the only country where this topic is not among the two deemed most likely to have a societal impact in the next 12 months (Figure 2).
