Denise Dahlhoff, PhD, is Head of Research, Marketing & Communications, US at The Conference Board. Her work focuses on how the leadership roles in marketing and communications are evolving and how timely issues shape these teams’ priorities and ways of working today and beyond.
Previously, Denise was Research Director of the Wharton School’s Baker Retailing Center and held roles at Wharton Executive Education, Nielsen (Marketing Analytics), and global pricing consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners. Her experience includes quantitative and qualitative research on marketing, communications, retail, and consumer topics for both business and academic audiences.
Denise is a Senior Fellow at the Wharton School’s Lauder Institute for Management and International Studies and has taught marketing at the University of Pennsylvania, Cornell University, and the Indian School of Business.
She holds a PhD in marketing from the University of Jena, Germany; a diploma in business administration from the University of Mainz, Germany; and a Master of Liberal Arts and a Master of Philosophy in Liberal Arts both from the University of Pennsylvania.
Denise is a volunteer at St. Ignatius Loyola in New York City and previously volunteered for various cultural, arts, and educational organizations. She is fluent in English, German, and Spanish.
