Voting Members
Voting Members are comparable to shareholders in a for-profit organization, except they do not have an ownership interest in The Conference Board, which is a not-for-profit corporation. Most Voting Members are the current or retired chief executive officer of a member company. The Conference Board Voting Members support our corporate governance by participating in an annual proxy for our Board of Trustees. In accordance with Section 517(a) of the New York Not-for-Profit Corporation Law (NPCL), the Voting Members of The Conference Board shall not be personally liable for the debts, liabilities, or obligations of the corporation.
