Artificial intelligence is transforming how businesses operate, make decisions, and engage with the world. Alongside this rapid innovation come significant ethical, societal, governance, and environmental challenges.

This four-part roundtable series convenes thought leaders from across sectors to examine how companies can lead responsibly in the age of AI. Each session explores a critical dimension of responsible AI: global policy and bias, environmental sustainability, governance and accountability, and AI for social good.

Session One: Bias and Beyond – Responsible AI in a Shifting Landscape

June 5

The first session addressed global regulatory developments (U.S., EU, China), bias in AI systems, and the governance strategies companies are adopting to advance responsible AI.

Session Two: The Intersection of Environmental Sustainability and Responsible AI

August 14

Our second session examined AI’s environmental dimensions – both its potential to drive progress (e.g., optimizing energy systems, accelerating clean technology innovation) and its growing environmental costs, including rapid data center expansion and resource use.

Session Three: Effective Oversight and Accountability in the Age of AI

September 11

The third session explored practical steps boards and management can take to integrate AI into risk, compliance, and internal control frameworks, as well as how to establish effective cross-functional oversight to ensure accountability across the enterprise.

October 16 | 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM ET

In our fourth and concluding session, we’ll examine how companies are beginning to leverage AI to generate meaningful social impact through corporate citizenship, community partnerships, and broader societal initiatives. Discussion will focus on:

  • Community impact: How AI is affecting communities overall, including possible unintended consequences and negative effects.
  • Emerging applications: Ways AI is being applied to support inclusion, resilience, and quality of life, even as these efforts remain in early stages.
  • Responsible engagement: How companies can work with communities to ensure AI initiatives are inclusive, equitable, and aligned with lived experiences.
