Artificial intelligence is reshaping how businesses operate, make decisions, and interact with the world. As innovation accelerates, so do the ethical, societal, governance, and environmental challenges it presents.

This four-part roundtable series brings together thought leaders from across sectors to explore how companies can lead responsibly in the age of AI. Sessions will unpack the geopolitical dynamics shaping AI policy, the environmental footprint of AI technologies, the need for robust governance and oversight, and opportunities to leverage AI for social good.

Session One: Bias and Beyond: Responsible AI in a Shifting Landscape

Thursday, June 5, 2025

1:00 – 2:30 PM ET

Virtual & In-Person at The Conference Board, NYC

Our opening session sets the stage by tackling one of AI’s most pressing challenges: bias. From training data to model deployment, AI systems can unintentionally perpetuate or even exacerbate inequities. We’ll also explore:

  • Insights from The Conference Board C-Suite Outlook on the AI “space race”
  • Evolving regulations and global AI governance dynamics
  • How identity-based bias (race, gender, ability) manifests in business tools
  • Inclusive design and ethical data strategies
  • The importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in mitigating AI risks
