CEO Insight Minute: How Can the C-Suite Prepare for Gen Z?

Gen Z employees: employers need to understand who they are, what matters to them when choosing an employer, what they bring to the workforce.

Gen Zers are urgently needed in the workforce—despite the global economic slowdown, attracting and retaining talent is still the number one internal issue of C-suite executives, according to The Conference Board’s 2023 C-Suite Outlook. Understanding the intrinsic motivations of Gen Z employees and how to win their loyalty comes down to identifying what drives them and what influences them. While much is being written about Gen Z, this study is distinctive in its focus on communicating directly with over 100 Gen Z employees who are working full-time jobs and by addressing both hourly and knowledge workers. We also sought the views of CHROs about this generation.
