Redefining the Employee Value Proposition: New Developments in Asia-Pacific

Human resources has a critical responsibility to develop a competitive employee value proposition (EVP) in Asia-Pacific. A solid EVP includes non-financial elements of recruitment, development, and retention such as: company attractiveness, personal and professional growth opportunities, strong corporate conduct and ethics policies, diversity and inclusion programs, and work-life balance. However, human resources professionals in Asia-Pacific have a skills gap compared to counterparts in the United States and Europe when it comes to shifting from the transactional to the strategic mind-set. Becoming more proficient beyond the safe harbor of transactional expertise will allow HR to be a key contributor to organizations.
