The Conference Board Economics Watch® United States View

US economic growth will increase from 2.2 percent to 2.4 percent in 2018, thanks to residual momentum from 2017. Investment growth should continue to provide a strong positive contribution with business confidence high. Consumption may slow modestly unless wage growth accelerates. The external environment could be less supportive next year, especially if the dollar appreciates next year.
