Organizations are struggling to plan for roles and competitors that don’t even exist yet. Instead of training leaders to fit into specific roles, they need to prepare people to be resilient against constant change, nonstop technological stimulation, and ambiguity. They can do this by tying learning and development to their purpose, teaching how to lead through change, embedding mindfulness into leadership development, creating a coaching culture, and offering journey-based learning experiences.
