The Conference Board Governance and Sustainability leaders offered great insight and guidance to my senior leadership for integrating sustainability into business practices.  

My Council meetings have been transformative in helping me create an organizational strategy for an employee hardship effort. The Council creates an environment that allows for a free flow of ideas so that we can all serve our employees and communities in the best possible way. My team and I never could have moved as fast as we did and been so prepared in the process if it wasn’t for the connections and willingness to collaborate of my Council peers.  

On a personal basis, The Conference Board gives you the chance to meet people who you can exchange ideas with and get help to be more effective in your community.  

Every day we deal with our own issues and our own industry focus, in our small businesses or large business. The Conference Board brings you an opportunity to broaden your horizons. It gives you the opportunity to tap into people who have more experience and a different view than you; which I think is invaluable as a leader in my own organization.  

I have respected The Conference Board for many, many years for its economic work, as well as the functional specialties that it goes into very deeply. They are able to get business people from all over the country, from all different industries, to share among themselves their concerns about the issues facing the country currently.  

The Conference Board gets businesses together to talk about the issues that they share. I think they produce good, thought-provoking pieces, and they gather a lot of data that we all rely on. There are a lot of things about The Conference Board that contribute to business’ ability to be productive, good corporate citizens; to constructively look at business issues and help think about how we can make the situation better.
