Face the Fight: How Business, Philanthropy, and Community Can Save Veteran Lives

November 20, 2025 02:00 PM - 03:00 PM ET

Veterans and first responders experience a suicide rate that is 1.5 times higher than that of the general population — a sobering reality that calls for urgent, collective action.

Face the Fight, founded by USAA, is a coalition of corporations, foundations, nonprofits, and veteran-focused organizations united in the mission to raise awareness and drive meaningful support for U.S. veteran suicide prevention. Through education, partnership, and advocacy, the initiative aims to break stigmas, foster open conversations, and build stronger networks of care for those who have served and sacrificed.

Join leaders from USAA and key partner organizations as they share insights, challenges, and lessons learned from their experiences with this groundbreaking program.

We’ll discuss:

  • How corporations, foundations, and philanthropic leaders can take meaningful action to support veterans and first responders—through partnerships, funding, and sustained engagement across their networks.
  • Why this issue demands cross-sector collaboration, and the critical roles that the private sector, NGOs, foundations, and government each play in advancing suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
  • What the Face the Fight program is accomplishing today, and its short- and long-term goals—from expanding outreach and access to care, to strengthening community-based prevention networks.
  • Where support and investment are most urgently needed, and how organizations can align their corporate citizenship and philanthropic strategies to drive sustainable, life-saving impact.
