Beyond Technology: Making the Transformation

January 2017 | Research Report

A successful digital transformation requires an enterprise approach to strategy and systemic change. UnConference participants believe that many companies hold the false belief that if their firm possesses isolated pockets of digital technology use within the enterprise it amounts to a digital transformation strategy. Nothing could be further from the truth. The challenge of true digital transformation across the enterprise is to change the organizational culture, convert risk-adverse dis-believers within the organization, and facilitate digital transformation at all levels, in all business units. Pete Davis, a senior fellow at The Conference Board and senior advisor at the Boston Consulting Group, outlined for participants the key changes required for success.
