In 2014 The Conference Board launched the India Leadership 2.0 Project, an ongoing crowd-sourced dialogue focused on helping the Indian business community develop leadership solutions. Among the most serious challenges across the Indian human capital landscape is that talent development strategies are often not aligned to business needs, which change rapidly. There is a clear failure within organizations to leverage regional diversity to fill talent gaps. The message from participants in the India Leadership 2.0 Project could not be clearer. If you are an Indian business leader today, be warned: what got you where you are is not going to be enough to keep you there in the future.
