While protecting biodiversity (ecosystems, species, and genetic resources) has increasingly become a priority on the global agenda, recent policy shifts in the EU and US point to a wave of deregulation. This analysis explores the outcomes of the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the evolving policy landscape, and what these changes mean for how corporations do business.
