As leaders encounter a profoundly changing world of work, they must revisit their total rewards strategy. Cash alone is not enough to attract, motivate and retain Gen Z, millennial and many other workers. Employees are looking for holistic packages that reflect their priorities and values. In this Working Group we will explore the critical need for refreshed approaches and programs that address business needs and changes in labor markets, stakeholder concerns, regulations, and new workforce models (on site, hybrid, remote and independent workers).
New/ refined compensation vehicles are emerging to better use resources, attract and retain staff and align with business priorities. Discussion topics in this session will include innovations in direct compensation (pay, bonuses, and other cash rewards). We will also discuss the evolving compensation landscape, including skills-based pay, and raises versus increased variable pay. The group will address important steps forward in pay equity and transparency.
