Mitchell Barnes is an Economist for the Labor Markets Institute within the Economy, Strategy, and Finance Center of The Conference Board. His work focuses on labor market trends, demographics, business dynamics, household finances, and policy impact analysis. 

Before joining The Conference Board, Mitchell worked at the Brookings Institution under The Hamilton Project. Prior to that role, he worked in corporate investments and in regulatory policy for Bank of America and earned the CFA designation.

Mitchell holds a BS in Finance and MA in International Business from the University of Florida and an MS in Applied Economics from George Washington University.
