Uwe Schulte is program director for the China Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Council at The Conference Board. He has also led the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (Europe), Procurement Leadership, and Responsible Sourcing Councils.
Schulte is founder and CEO of Prosolvo GmbH, a company that helps small- and medium-sized companies solve problems related to corporate social responsibility, risk management, and procurement optimization. Schulte was executive director of the INSEAD Social Innovation Centre and spent most of his professional career at Unilever. At Unilever’s London offices, he served as vice president of global supply management and vice president supply management in the HPC Division.
Other roles include serving as supply director for personal wash and skin for Europe; technical director for the Elida board; works manager of the Elida Gibbs Personal Care factory (all in Buxtehude, Germany); head of development and quality assurance of Lever Division Household Products and Personal Care (Sao Paulo, Brazil); head of production for detergent powders and liquids and product development (Lever Germany); and scientist/chemist in England and Germany.
