Philip Lim is a polymathic strategist and visionary leader with over three decades of senior management experience across energy, healthcare, aviation, and digital innovation. As Program Director of The Conference Board, he brings a rare blend of corporate leadership, entrepreneurial agility, and deep regional insight to convene and guide Asia’s most senior business decision-makers.
A Singaporean with a global footprint, Philip held pivotal roles at Chevron Corporation from 1998 to 2020, including Executive Chairman of Chevron Hong Kong Ltd (2007-10), General Manager of Caltex Lubricants Southeast Asia (1999-2001), and founder of Chevron’s digital and eCommerce venture in China (2015-19). His earlier career included regional leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson and a global marketing role at Singapore Airlines, giving him a strong foundation in P&L management, marketing, and strategic growth.
Philip now leads Aquinas Global, a strategic advisory firm focused on sustainable growth ecosystems, impact investing, and business model innovation. He is a trusted mentor/coach to CEOs, SME owners, and startup founders, helping them navigate transformation, stakeholder engagement, and innovation in complex environments.
At The Conference Board, Philip curates a confidential, peer-led platform for CXOs and strategic leaders to exchange insights on ASEAN’s evolving geopolitical, economic, and digital landscape. His leadership ensures the Council delivers high-trust engagement, actionable benchmarking, and strategic foresight - empowering members to thrive amid fragmentation, supply chain realignments, and the imperatives of AI and sustainability.
A published author and contributor to thought leadership on ASEAN centrality and regional connectivity, Philip is deeply committed to fostering resilient, future-ready leadership across the region. He holds a Master's in International Management from the University of California’s School of Global Policy and Strategy, a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) from the National University of Singapore and is an alumnus of INSEAD and IMD.
