Melinda Zhang is a research analyst for The Conference Board China Center for Economics and Business, based in Beijing. Her research focuses on the The Conference Board Leading Economic Index® (LEI) for China, as well as human capital, sustainability, and corporate philanthropy in China.She has authored, co-authored or contributed to several publications, including Corporate Philanthropy in China: A Practitioner's Guide for Foreign Donors (2012); Reading the Tea Leaves: The Impact of China’s Twelfth Five-Year Plan on Human Capital Challenges (2012); and The Impact of Loosening Birth Control Policy (2014), etc. Zhang graduated from Beijing Normal University with a master’s degree in economics.
