Anna Tavis, Ph.D. is a Senior Fellow, Human Capital at The Conference Board. In this role, Anna supports the Human Capital Practice which includes The Conference Board Human Capital Exchange™, research, conferences, webcasts and programs in a broad spectrum of human capital areas.
In addition to serving as a Senior Fellow, Anna is the Executive Editor of People and Strategy Journal and is Founder of GlobalPlusLab consulting. Anna has had an extensive global career in business, academia and consulting.
Formerly, Anna was Head of Motorola's EMEA OD function based in the UK, Global Head of Talent Management based in Helsinki, Chief Learning Officer with UTC based in Hartford, Connecticut, and Global Head of Talent and Organizational Development for AIG Investments based in NYC.
In academia, Anna served on the faculty at Williams College, Fairfield University, and is currently teaching in the graduate HR program at New York University.
She is an author and key note speaker, a former Board member of HRPS and advisor to non-profit and start-up organizations.
Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Anna received her Doctorate from Princeton University and Executive MBA from the University of South Carolina. She speaks English, Russian, German, and learning Spanish and is an avid Argentine tango dancer and performer.
