Kaying Lau is a senior consultant at APCO Worldwide’s Corporate Responsibility and Strategic Communications practice in Beijing. She currently is co-chair of the corporate responsibility committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in China and leads
APCO’s engagement with the European Union on corporate sustainability issues. Lau is actively involved in the NGO community through pro bono advisory services. In the past, Lau has served as the director of AQ Services International China and as a political advisor for the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during which she held assignments in The Hague, Shanghai, and Singapore. Lau has also worked at the Institute for Environmental Studies in the Netherlands.

She holds a master’s degree in political science and international relations and concluded a minor program in international economics at the University of Amsterdam, San Francisco State University, Hong Kong Baptist University, and Columbia University.
