Brian is Senior Vice President, Communications at 3M, leading the team that tells the story of one of the world’s leading science companies.

Prior to joining 3M in June 2020, Brian held senior communications leadership roles over a 20-year period at healthcare companies including Cigna, Express Scripts, Paragon Biosciences, Medtronic, and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Earlier in his career, Brian led media relations at the American Heart Associations and also worked at Porter/Novelli, a public relations agency. Brian started his career as a reporter at two newspapers near his hometown in Southern Illinois.

Brian earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

He is currently the President of the Board of Directors of Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss, Inc., and a member of the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Foundation board.
