Approximately 50 percent of companies in this study probing the planning, development, and implementation processes of environmental management systems within 45 leading organizations report having systems substantially or fully in place to bring strategic environmental considerations into their corporations’ overall business strategy. Nearly all others report they are currently developing such a strategy.
