Global services delivery is now at the 3.0 stage as organizations expand the concept of value beyond simply squeezing provider rates or moving to a lower cost location. The members of The Conference Board Global Business Services Council took a long look at the current state of offshoring and concluded that, all things considered, they’re unlikely to exit their offshore locations en masse or aggressively alter their current footprints, despite the challenges inherent in offshore delivery. However, they believe that the United States can be a viable “and/also” sourcing destination and a component of their delivery frameworks.
