The Rise of Income Inequality and Its Threat to the Future of Capitalism

23 May, 2017 03:00 PM ET [15:00] (New York), 07:00 PM UTC [19:00] | (1 hr)

Capitalism has underpinned the most prosperous nation in history. But today, acute economic inequality threatens our system’s cohesion, capacity, and viability. Much of this inequality derives from lagging income growth for hard-working people, placing the American Dream increasingly out of reach as a result. The issue concerns a broad swath of citizens – from low-income to high-income, living in red states and blue states.

This webcast will lay out the causes of economic inequality and solutions that can help more citizens climb the economic latter.
