What a difference a month can make. The monthly US Consumer Confidence Index just been released by The Conference Board and reveals a major dip in consumer’s short-term outlook for income, business and labor market conditions. Though there was a slight increase in February, the Novel Coronavirus has now hit the country with full force. What are  buyers saying about current versus future conditions, how does that compare to past financial downturns, and how quickly can we expect a rebound?

Join our panel of economists and researchers as they examine the latest data provided in The US Consumer Confidence Index and respond to the following questions, among others:

  • What does this index reveal about the breakdown in confidence by age group, by region and and by income level?
  • What does the newly released jobs report also indicate about consumers upcoming ability to spend and support economic growth?
  • What sectors of the economy will be hardest hit by lack of buying and rising unemployment rates?

Who Should Attend: Anyone interested in the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the US Economy and consumer confidence
