We are delighted to invite you to a virtual Joint Session on the US Election with Mr. John Gardner, who has spent decades on the front lines of American politics. He has worked on four Presidential campaigns and served as Special Assistant to President George Bush; Deputy Assistant to President George W. Bush; and as General Counsel of USAID. Today, John is Vice President of the Committee for Economic Development, the Washington DC-based policy center of The Conference Board.
American voters will choose a new President on November 5, and the outcome will reverberate beyond the borders of the United States, affecting everything from global trade to Sino Western relations, economic development in Asia to cooperation on climate change.
John will cover the main issues driving the election and the implications for global business. He will be joined by David Hoffman, Senior Advisor at The Conference Board Asia and Program Chair of the Asia Corporate Leadership Council, along with Alfredo Montufar-Helu, Head of the China Center. David will moderate the session, with both David and Alfredo providing insights on the specific impacts of US-China relations.
