The Reimagined Workplace 2023

The Conference Board was one of the first organizations to measure the effects of COVID-19 on Human Capital within the first 3 months of the pandemic in the US and, since then, the Reimagined Workplace series has been our most sought-after HC research.

Three years later, as the pandemic’s public health emergency ends, The Conference Board has again surveyed HR leaders to find out how their organizations are evolving and what their plans are for their workers going forward.

Freshly re-envisioned for 2023, this study explains the delicate balance of the following:

  • Hybrid work persisting even as organizations attempt to get workers back to the office
  • Despite the slowing economy, finding and retaining talent continue to present major difficulties for organizations, especially for jobs requiring on-site work
  • Employee well-being continues to decline and appears to be exacerbated by recent and planned cost-cutting measures
