Gabrielle Sulzberger Talks about Importance of Diversity in Corporate America

RC/Fontis General Partner Gabrielle Sulzberger Talks about Importance of Diversity in Corporate America

Gabrielle Sulzberger, General Partner at Rustic Canyon/Fontis Partners L.P., discusses the current social climate in the United States and the critical need for more diversity in the private sector.

In an interview with Steve Odland, President of The Conference Board, Sulzberger brings a personal perspective to the dialogue, and highlights what it’s like to be a woman of color in corporate America. She encourages executives to lean into the conversation on race and to engage people of color for their insights and perspectives on programming and trainings that focus on diversity and equality in the workplace.

“All the facts and data around diversity is that it generates the best business outcomes,” says Sulzberger. “If you are a CEO or board member, that needs to be a common understanding - that we are doing this because it’s the right thing to do but also, fundamentally, it’s the right thing to do for the business.”

The CEO Forum series features CEOs from across American industry who focus on actionable insights to address underlying challenges of economic opportunity, childhood education, health care, workforce skills development, workplace equality and corporate governance.
