Economic Indicators & Forecasting Topics
The Conference Board Economics Watch® European View

Survey indicators in the Euro Area are all pointing to continued growth, signaling improvements in the short-term outlook. As the euro strengthens, export growth to large trading partners deteriorates. Declining import prices are also contributing to the overall low inflation rate in the Euro Area. The housing market shows mixed signals, with home prices gradually improving while residential building permits stagnate. Real wages have been growing more rapidly recently, but not consistently throughout all European countries.
