Resilience planning has traditionally focused on the ability of information systems, databases, and business facilities to bounce back after a disaster. But true resilience requires more. Companies need to pay equal attention to prepare their employees to recover, both at their jobs and in their personal lives. This Executive Action reflects the insights of a series of workshops convened by The Conference Board with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and attended by representatives from a wide range of businesses and sectors. The guiding idea was that enhancing resilience is more advantageous than focusing on security alone.
