Strengthening the Weakest Link: Building Resilient Global Supply Chains

This report is based on the second of a series of workshops conducted in 2012 by The Conference Board and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The collaboration was formed to understand the strategies that companies are using to increase their preparedness and challenges they face. The second workshop, held in Seattle, on which this report is based, focused on how companies can enhance their resilience of their global supply chains.

The collaboration between The Conference Board and DHS on these issues began in 2004. During the course of the collaboration, the focus of the research and discussion has evolved from the protection of critical infrastructure and key resources (CIKR) to their resilience.
