DNA of High-Performing Organizations: Implications for the CHRO

It is no accident that certain companies are capable of maintaining an extraordinary level of execution over time. Our research uncovered three elements, gleaned from organizations that excel on both people and business measures, that identify a high-performance culture, as well as 15 specific strategies that support these elements. Many of these strategies fall within the Chief HR Officer’s purview: ensuring that all leaders partner with various stakeholders to promote agility and flexibility in organizational design; supporting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship that learns from failure; and helping the organization improve its performance management processes.
