This profile showcases how FedEx Ground uses predictive workforce analysis to predict its hiring pipeline. By forecasting staffing needs and upcoming turnover, FedEx is able to foresee in each geographic market whether or not the current pipeline of applicants would result in enough hires to staff the operation up to three weeks in advance. In 2014, this predictive model allowed HR to funnel resources to where they were most needed, staving off what could have been debilitating hiring shortfalls.
