Membership Terms and Conditions

Effective: July 1, 2025

The Conference Board, Inc. (“TCB”) is a not-for-profit member-focused think tank that provides trusted insights for what’s ahead. We are dedicated to creating and disseminating knowledge about management and the marketplace to help businesses strengthen their performance and better serve society.

Membership Benefits. By payment of the membership fee, Member agrees to these terms and conditions (“Terms”). The membership fee provides Member with licensed access to TCB’s membership services (“Services”). 

Membership Fee and Invoicing. Membership fees are non-refundable and subject to change annually. Payments received later than ten business days after the due date may be subject to a 1.5% late-payment penalty. An invoice will be sent to Member, specifying payment terms. TCB will advise Member ninety days in advance of the membership’s anniversary date, and of any change in the membership fees.

Intellectual Property; Reassignment; Transfers. TCB or its licensors shall retain all intellectual property rights in or related to any and all Services or materials provided or made available by TCB to the Member. Member may not resell, assign, or transfer any of its membership rights without TCB’s prior written consent. Changes permitted where the purchasing Member changes roles or resigns; Member agrees to notify TCB of any reassignment or transfer. In the event TCB closes the Council prior to the end of the membership term, Member will be offered a seat on another Council.

Company Name and Logo. Membership in TCB is not confidential and Member agrees TCB may publish or disclose Member’s name for its business purposes. Center Membership. If Member’s membership includes Center membership, Member agrees that TCB may also use Member’s corporate logo worldwide on TCB’s website and materials for the purpose of acknowledging Member’s membership status. TCB agrees that Member is the sole and exclusive owner of all rights in Member’s identity and Member may withdraw consent regarding use of its logo by contacting TCB’s Legal department.

Terms of Use. Member agrees to use the Services only in accordance with TCB’s Terms of Use. TCB or its licensors shall own all intellectual property rights in or related to any and all Services or any materials provided by TCB to the Member. Council Member agrees that participation on any council is subject to the Chatham House Rule. Our Privacy Policy describes how TCB handles personal data. Member instructs and authorizes TCB to contact Member and its employees electronically (e.g. via email) or non-electronically (via workplace postal address) about membership benefits and other offers from TCB using contact details of Member’s employees, including, without limitation, contact information made publicly available online. Member is responsible for obtaining all required consents. Member agrees it is not prohibited from contracting with government entities. Member agrees to comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations in its use of the Services, including, without limitation, anti-trust, data privacy, and other laws.

Governing Law: Membership terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York (USA). For Members in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa: membership terms are governed by Belgium law.
