Nominal retail and food services sales rose by a healthy 0.5 percentage point in July after increasing by 0.9 percent in June. Real retail sales increased by 0.3 percent in the month and 1.7 percent annualized above Q2’s 1.1 percent annualized reading, starting Q3 on strong footing.
