LinkedIn Rules But Sales Potential May Lie with Twitter: The 2013 Inc. 500 and Social Media

LinkedIn continues to be the platform of choice among the Inc. 500 for the second year in a row; however, these companies think Twitter has the greatest potential for sales growth, according to the 2013 Inc. 500 study conducted by the Center for Marketing Research at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth. This study revisits the center’s work on the Inc. 500's social media use for the seventh consecutive year, making it a valuable and rare longitudinal study of corporate use of new communication tools.

This report was originally distributed by the Society for New Communications Research, which officially merged with The Conference Board in January 2016.
