Short-term economic outlook for emerging markets remains somewhat pessimistic for 2015, while their medium-term potential growth has also been dragged down by slower productivity growth. For most emerging economies, stepped-up monetary easing measures have not yet kicked in in the real economy, and room for further fiscal and monetary easing is limited. With internal headwinds remaining strong and an unfavorable global economic backdrop, we have downwardly revised growth projections for emerging economies for this year.
