What CEOs say they are seeking is high-quality sustainable growth, and the strategies they selected to meet their top challenges reveal a longer-term focus around capacity building and developing strong cultures around innovation, engagement, and accountability. Analysis includes results from two special sections to this year's survey: strategies to raise productivity and strategies to become/remain a high-performing organization.

This report is based on 943 responses from CEOs, presidents, and chairmen to The Conference Board CEO Challenge survey, distributed between September and October 2014.
