The Conference Board CEO Challenge® 2013: Human Capital Practitioners Respond

According to the 2013 edition of The Conference Board CEO Challenge, chief executives consider human capital their top challenge. But how do their preferred strategies to address this issue compare to those of human capital practitioners (HCPs)? While both CEOs and HCPs are in agreement that “grow talent internally” is the top strategy to address current human capital demands, they disagree about the importance of “providing employee training and development” and “improving succession planning for current and future needs.” In addition to offering a global comparison of CEO and HCP results, this Executive Action also provides regional comparisons.
