Sharing Safety and Regulatory Information along the Value Chain
  • Publication Date:
    October 2013

Ensuring that products sold into commerce are safe for people and the environment and comply with applicable laws and regulations where they are sold are key product stewardship obligations for any business. However, one of the most important challenges for a company in today’s global economy is effectively gathering, sharing, and managing relevant safety and regulatory information along its “supply” or “value” chain.

A general framework and guidance for the design of work processes and systems that support the effective sharing of safety and regulatory information between companies can help ensure that they fulfill their respective product stewardship commitments.
