Human Capital in Asia-Pacific, 2011-2013

Rapid growth in the Asia-Pacific region means that companies there are facing challenges in leadership development, talent acquisition and retention, and related human capital concerns. In the spring of 2011, The Conference Board surveyed human capital professionals from 98 companies in the region. This report provides an overview of the top challenges and strategies currently used to manage those concerns.

(This Executive Action is the first in a three-part series. The second, Executive Action 376, entitled Human Capital Challenges in Asia-Pacific 2011-2013: Strong Brands and Clear Career Paths Help Companies Run the Talent Race, was released in March 2012. The third, entitled Human Capital Challenges in Asia Pacific 2011-2013: Aligning Employee Learning and Development with Performance Management, is forthcoming.)
