Understanding how your competitors are innovating; what they are working on; who and what are driving their innovation program, are all questions that Competitive Intelligence should be answering. Understanding how players in your industry approach innovation is a crucial step to building your own innovation plans. But this requires a wider horizon that looks at all elements of a competitor’s innovation process from patents to people to processes.
