This year is the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. What are the barriers to and benefits of hiring and retaining people with disabilities?

There is evidence that costs are less than many assume, and of tangible and intangible returns. New employment statistics from the government and a host of programs to facilitate recruitment of people with disabilities are great steps forward, but challenges remain—especially considering the return of injured U.S. military servicemen and women from current conflicts.
