To recruit and retain talent, companies need to modernize work-life programs. Successful work-life strategies are a balance between the company’s needs and the needs of the employee. Each generation of workers has a different set of values; understanding them is key to developing the best strategies. Talent management and employee engagement should be integrated, and work-life programs should go beyond scheduling to proactively support employees’ career development. Investing in people development will lessen the chance of younger workers leaving the company.
