The 2007 Top Executive Compensation Report

Due to changes to the SEC rules governing the proxy disclosure of executive compensation in publicly traded companies, the Summary Compensation Table in proxy statements has been expanded to include post-retirement compensation and perquisites and stock option grants. As a result, The 2007 Top Executive Compensation Report offers a distinctly different mix of total compensation elements than the components of "total compensation" in previous years. Given that this is a transition year for the new requirements, the results in the report are based exclusively on the tabular data disclosed. The full report provides data about each of the elements of compensation reported in the proxy tables and the relationship of these elements to executive salary and total compensation. The 2007 Top Executive Compensation Report: Key Findings offers an overview of compensation by company size and industry.

Data was provided by Salary.com and includes information on 2,683 companies that were categorized into 22 industries in both manufacturing and services.
