Business has a vested interest in an education system that creates a workforce ready to compete in a global economy. Getting there requires cross-sector cooperation of government, business, educational institutions, and nonprofits/think tanks as well as mindfulness of each party’s independent goal that converge in a shared vision. They can also encourage the change from autocracy to a culture of increased empowerment, responsibility, and accountability to foster innovation and productivity gains in education.
