But Are Nonprofits Ready for Them?

The nonprofit sector is growing by leaps and bounds, and so is the number of baby boomers approaching retirement age with the desire to continue working. These two trends can potentially foster a match made in heaven. But there’s a catch. Nonprofits traditionally put few resources into HR and staff development, but both are sorely needed for the recruitment and management of older workers, who have very specific needs for meaning in their work and flexibility in their schedules.
