Should You Comment on Civic Issues?

There has been a quantum leap in expectations of companies taking a stand on social issues in the last decade.

Our data show the scale of the expectation. This is not a minority movement. It is mainstreaming. There is now just a small percentage of US consumers that believe companies should not take a stand.

However, not all issues are equal. Learning from what others have done is only part of the process. You will need to develop an internal strategy for what you say to your employees and what actions you will take to support them.
