Amid the evolving conflict in the Middle East, executives in Europe are expressing a broad range of concerns and one clear priority: strengthening supply chain and logistics resilience, according to a poll from The Conference Board® this month on the conflict’s likely impact on organizations and their near-term priorities.
Companies prioritize supply chain resilience over structural change. As geopolitical tensions rise, companies are prioritizing operational resilience to manage potential disruptions. Rather than making major strategic shifts, many are strengthening supply chain preparedness and reviewing crisis response frameworks developed during recent global shocks.
Nearly 50% of respondents said that strengthening supply chain resilience is their top priority over the next three to six months, while 28% said they would prioritize updating contingency plans. These short-term responses suggest that companies are not yet pursuing structural changes. Notably, only 5% plan to reassess capital allocation and investment timelines.
